Beauty Chant: Get your Feet Sandal Ready with Liz Earle Foot Care
We all know the feeling: after long months of winter, of being confined to closed shoes and tall boots, our feet are dying to see the light of day. They are, however, not ready. It’s high time to hit the salon for a well-deserved pedi and for showing off those marvelous colors on your toes.
But times are tough, and getting a pedi as often as we need (or want) may not be in the cards for everyone. So why not treat yourself to a pedi at home? Give your feet all the pampering they deserve with two great products from Liz Earle. Both the Foot Repair Moisturiser and the Foot Scrub will get your feet from pedi to pedi and sandal-ready in no time.
Start by turning off the TV, lighting some candles, putting your favorite music on. Now fill a bucket with some warm water and bath salts (add a couple of drops of lemon and your nails will look sparkling clean!) and let your feet soak for 10 minutes.
Then get ready for an one-of-a-kind foot scrub experience. Like all other Liz Earle‘s products, Foot Scrub is simple, fuss-free, gentle and effective. The formula contains exfoliating pumice (to gently rid your feet of dead cells), avocado oil (for baby-soft skin), wheatgerm oil (a natural and potent source of vitamin E), and peppermint and rosemary essential oil (invigorating oils to help tired feet). In just a couple of minutes, I can scrub away roughness, dryness, and hardness from my feet without needing to resort to a razor (no! never!) or pumice stone.
Just squeeze a small amount into the palm of your hand and, in circular motions, massage it onto your feet, paying special attention to those areas that tend to get dry and rough. The peppermint and rosemary oil will not only help your feet feel more relaxed, but will also help keep them sweet and fresh smelling – and yes, gals worry about that, too!
Now dry your feet with a super plush towel and follow it up with Foot Repair Moisturiser. This is moisture taken up a notch. Think of all the great ingredients I just mentioned – remove the pumice and add rich shea butter. The end result is almost decadent! The formula is non-greasy and quickly absorbed by the skin, leaving your feet moist, supple, and fresh smelling.
Pump the cream directly onto foot and gently massage with upward strokes, again paying especial attention to those areas that just need a little extra loving. I like to spend a few extra minutes rubbing a little cream onto my nail bed and cuticles – it helps my manicure last longer and keeps the skin around my nails super soft. And I absolute love the lingering minty scent – I swear it helps me keep cool in the hot days of summer (but that’s just me!).
After this ritual, grab those flirty sandals you’ve been dying to wear – your feet are ready (though they might outshine the sandals now!).
