Though Malin + Goetz are NY based and have a nice big store on 7th Avenue, I had never heard of them until a couple of weeks ago, when a trip to South Carolina introduced this absolutely wonderful line into my life. And, not to quote Melissa Etheridge, it will never be the same. Take their Rum Hand Wash, for example.
It packs 12% of rum eau de toilette, as well as natural glycerin and protein amino acids. You’d think that the smell would overwhelm the senses – on the contrary: though the scent lingers for a while, it never feels too strong or too ‘present.’ It is very gentle and perfect for every skin type, since it’s formulated to hydrate and balance the skin. It’s so gentle that you can actually use it (and I have!) as a shower gel or foaming bubble bath. The latter is a must-experience experience! After soaking in the tub for a feel minutes, my skin felt nice and supple – not dry and tight. And the scent of rum stayed with me all day – ummmmmm… heavenly!
Stay tuned for more reviews – I think I went a bit overboard! (Though I’m getting ready for a store visit, since I’m only bought 1 bottle of Rum Hand Wash and my neighbor has been coming down just to wash her hands! It’s that good!)
