As the year comes to a halting end, we started talking to bloggers everywhere to find out what their best finds for 2009 were. From beauty inventions to good reads, these gals and guys have lots to recommend.
When I asked Shannon Nelson (agirlsgottaspa.com) what her favorite things in 2009 were, she had little trouble coming up with a list (which includes one of her clients – no nepotism here! Renee Rouleau is a serious skin care line!) though she’s crazy busy these days. Her picks are:
MAC Volcanic Thermal Mask
I absolutely love how this mask instantly warms up upon contact with the skin!
Zoya Nail Polish Color Lock System
This is the holy grail of nail polish staying power! I cannot live without it.
Not heavy or greasy, it’s perfect for oily/combination skin.
Purely Cosmetics Diamond Perfect Finish
Light deflecting super powers help you give off the appearance of younger looking skin, and after all, diamonds are a girl’s best friend.
Adina Zilberman (kraseybeauty.com) couldn’t even begin to list her makeup/skin care products. According to her, the list would go on and on. Instead, she listed her best beauty ‘innovations’ of 2009:
Clarisonic MIA
I love the Clarisonic because it gives my skin a clean feeling that I can’t get with just cleansers. The massaging action feels wonderful to my tired skin at the end of the day.
Take it from one very hairy Russian Chick, the Silk’nSensEpil is a lifesaver. With use, it gradually decreased both the density and thickness of my hair. I look forward to hopefully reducing shaving altogether!
Baby Quasar
The Baby Quasar is an amazing, high tech tool designed to eradicate wrinkles. The gentle heat from the light soothes my skin, as I continue to be impressed by both my skintone and skin texture.
