The Product Pasha is a year old!

April marks The Product Pasha’s one-year anniversary. Yeap, one year ago, simply because I had too much to say about too many things, I started my daily pondering about the little things that make our lives easier and prettier.

When I decided to start The Product Pasha, I really had no idea of what I would find or how exactly it would work. I have no journalistic background (just a passion for writing), no cosmetology training (I wear little makeup), and no scientific training to help me decipher ingredients on a label (I was always a humanities kid). So, what exactly could I contribute to this ever changing and growing world of consumer reviews? A year later, I’m still not sure I have fully answered this question to myself. I have, however, gotten glimpses of possible answers through you, dear readers.

Everyday you take time out of your busy schedule to come and visit me. And you do it freely; there are other sites that you could be reading; there are more in depth reviews out there; people who can tell you what the latest hot celebrity is wearing when I can’t even identify said celebrity. And yet, you come here.

You come here because, like me, you have no training. Like me, you’re just a consumer trying to get the best bang for your buck. Like me, you just want to know that a certain product delivers on promises made. And that’s what I do and have been doing for as long as I can remember. I was that person (and still am) that strikes up a conversation with you in the middle of a drugstore to tell that you really should or shouldn’t buy the product you’re holding in your hands. You know the type: a little crazy, quite chatty, with tons to say that makes you wonder if she works for that brand!

As you may have noticed, I choose NOT to sell advertising space on the site. I’m not trying to sell you anything while you are here – and don’t want anyone else to, either. I just think that you should be free from hassling while you are here. I cannot say with certainty that this will always be true, but for now I like to keep things the way they are.

Now that I’ve gotten a year under my belt, The Product Pasha will expand in interesting directions over the next few months. Stay tuned for more interviews, more behind-the-scenes features, more reviews of your favorite products. Remember to also let us know about a particular product you’re dying to find out more about – if we can, we’ll review it for you!
