When L’Oreal first debuted it’s High Intensity Pigment (H.I.P.) line of cosmetics, I was incredibly excited. This drugstore gem was one of the first to offer intense color options with an affordable price tag. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up anything new from the line, so I was totally into trying out the new L’Oreal H.I.P. Studio Secrets Professional Shadow Duo ($8).
For my introduction to L’Oreal’s High Intensity Pigment Shadow Duos, I tried #806 Gilded and #906 Platinum. Each shadow duo contains a gorgeous metallic shadow that’s expertly paired with a matte glitter-infused shadow. I have to tell you, as pretty as the shadows looked in the pot, I was doubtful that they would translate onto skin looking so vibrant. Well, let me tell you, they do!

In addition to being pretty and pigmented, these shadows apply silky smooth and last all day without creasing. Plus, the bottom of each pot is a secret flip-open compartment that houses a mini sponge applicator. I prefer my own eyeshadow brushes, but these are perfect for traveling or in a pinch.
