As a college student on a budget, I am a super fan of drugstore-brand mascara. I’m always on the hunt for my perfect match. Ladies, I think may have found it – my ideal no-fail, budget mascara – in L’Oreal Collagen Mascara ($7).
There are several things about this mascara that makes it ideal, despite the claims made by L’Oreal. The mascara formula itself is made with hydra-collagen, which helps thicken and plumb even the wimpiest lashes (though all this jazz about mega volume might be a bit hyperbolic - I found it to be pretty standard as far as that goes). But I do love the thick bristled brush, since it helps me get right down to the lash line and sculpt my lashes up. However, the very best things about this mascara for me is that it doesn’t clump or flake throughout the day – and that alone is a MAJOR point!
