It seems to be that no matter how hard I wish, I’ll never have perfectly clear skin without a little help. So, to combat my newest round of breakouts (which I am seriously hoping did not come from my new foundation!), I picked up a container of Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Cleansing Pads ($6, 28ct.).
I’m already a big fan of Aveeno’s Ultra-Calming line, so I was hoping to love these, too. So far, I do! Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Cleansing Pads are dual-textured with a smooth side for lifting away makeup, dirt, and oil, and a textured side to gently exfoliate. The pads are pre-moistened with blemish fighting salicylic acid and natural soy to improve skin clarity. They’re self-foaming, so all you need to do is wet your face and scrub away. I’ve had fantastic results using these once a day after using a makeup removing cloth to remove the majority of makeup. I’ve seen a noticeable reduction in my minor breakouts and overall redness. For a drugstore skincare line, I’m definitely impressed!
Budget tip: These pads are quite large and well-soaked with product. Try cutting them in half with a clean pair of scissors. I’ve found that I only need half to get a good lather and cleaning.
