About Us
About us:
The Product Pasha has been buying things for as long as she can remember. For almost as long, she has suffered the indignity of purchasing subpar goods, lured by too-good to-be-true advertising.
An educator by trade, the Pasha has turned her critical and expository skills on the world of consumer products, sampling everything from lip balm and mascara to digital cameras and designer chocolates with one goal in mind: to save the world from suffering similar indignities. Caveat Emptor!
All about our Review Policy
Have you ever found yourself wondering about how we decide which products to test? Here’s everything you wanted to know:
- How do we get the products you test?
Most of the products we review are provided to us by either their manufacturers or their PR company. Some are gifts from friends and family. Some are bought with our own money.
- Does it matter how we come upon the products we test?
Absolutely not! Whether they were send to us as a sample, given to us as a gift, or purchased with our hard-earned money, we use the same review policy for all of them.
- What is our review policy?
First and foremost, we express our unbiased opinion about any thing that comes our way. Whether we like it a lot, a little, or not at all, we will not be silenced. Secondly, we reserve the right to NOT review every thing that comes our way. In other words, there are some products about which we can’t be bothered writing. These are usually products that produce a lukewarm response – not extreme hatred or bewilderment, but just an ordinary blahness. And thirdly, we LOVE to be challenged, that is, disagree with us, tell us how your own experience is different from ours. That’s the whole idea behind this site – a plurality of voices that will help us make better decisions as consumers.
- Can we review your product?
The best way to get your product reviewed is to pitch it, via e-mail, to our editor-in-chief. When pitching your product, be sure to include the following:
- general information (what is it? what does it do?)
- availability
- price
- photos
If we determine that your product is a good fit with our readers, we’ll ask you to send it to us. We never review a product by looking at photos – if you want us to review it, we need to have it in hands. A shipping address will be provided at this point.
